RTHK reported that four family members charged in connection with the horrible murder of Hong Kong model Abby Choi appeared in court on Monday after police discovered what they suspect to be dismembered body parts.

Alex Kwong, 28, his brother Anthony, 31, and their father, Kwong Kau, 65, are accused of murdering Choi. Jenny Li, the mother of Alex Kwong, has been charged with perverting the course of justice, according to RTHK.

According to RTHK, the Kowloon City Magistrates’ Court refused bail to all four defendants on Monday. They have not yet submitted a plea.

According to authorities, on Sunday, detectives discovered a skull, numerous ribs, and hair, thought to be Choi’s remains, in a huge soup pot made of stainless steel. The missing body parts of Choi include his torso and hands.

It follows a police probe that began on Wednesday, when Choi, 28, went missing. Police reported that two days later, body parts were discovered at a residence in the Tai Po region of the city. The residence also had a meat slicer, an electric saw, and some clothes, according to the authorities.

Saturday, Choi’s ex-husband was detained at a ferry terminal on one of the city’s outer islands, according to authorities. On Friday, his brother and dad were detained.

A fifth suspect, a 47-year-old woman, was detained in connection with the case on Sunday, according to police.

Choi, a model and social media influencer with over 100,000 Instagram followers, was recently featured as the digital cover model for the premium magazine L’Officiel Monaco and attended Paris Fashion Week this year.

Thousands of condolences were posted on Choi’s social media sites over the weekend as gory details of the probe dominated headlines in local media outlets.

According to RTHK, the court deferred the case to May 8 to allow for more police investigation.
