What Happened in the Vinland Saga’s last episode?

In the last episode, a group of king’s men came up to Olmar and told him that he couldn’t join the king’s guard because he wasn’t good with a sword.

But instead of being kind, the men made fun of him and talked badly about him. Brodd, in particular, liked to make fun of Olmar’s skills, and the hooded man who was with them did nothing to stop them.

Olmar was hurt and angry, so he pulled out his sword and attacked Brodd. Thorgil was eating nearby when he heard the noise.

He ran over to see what was going on. He saw that Olmar was outnumbered, but Brodd told the others to leave him alone with Olmar.

Thorgil told Olmar to stand up and fight when he saw that he was outmatched. He said that warriors must either kill or die when they are insulted.

As the fight went on, the man in the hood shot a coin at Brodd’s eye, and Olmar killed him. Soon after that, the other men with Brodd pulled out their swords, but Thorgil quickly killed them all. Thorgil noticed later that Brodd’s eye was different.

When Ketil got there, he was shocked to see that all of the king’s men had been killed. But Thorgil tried to make him feel better by telling him everything would be fine.

When the guards came, Thorgil tried to explain that it was a fair fight, but they didn’t believe him. They tried to put him in jail, but Thorgil beat them all and asked why they made Olmar fight.

The guard said that they were trying to get Ketil arrested by blaming him for what Olmar had done. Thorgil knew that they were now in danger, but he didn’t give up. He saw this as the start of a bigger battle.

Canute found out that Ketil and his family had actually gone, and Wulf said he was sorry for not being able to catch them. Canute told Wulf to send all of his guards and all of Floki’s men after Ketil and his family. If they fought back, they would be punished.

At the end of the episode, Leif allows Thorgil and his group to come out of hiding on his ship at sea. Thorgil thanked Leif, but Leif reminded him that it was a business deal and that they would buy his goods for three times what they were worth and take Thorfinn. Ketil decided to hide in a barrel.
