Mengo Yokoyari and Aka Akasaka’s romantic comedy Oshi No Ko is finally getting turned into an anime. With the final trailer going online and the release date being announced, it goes without saying that fans are more excited than they have ever been.
This anime could fill the void left by Aka Akasaka’s famous work Kaguya Sama: Love is War, and it could be one of the most popular romantic comedies of the year.
The final trailer for the same show came out recently, and Yaosobi’s opening song, “Idol,” is already getting a lot of attention online.
Oshi No Ko Anime Release Date
The last trailer for the romantic comedy said that the first episode of the Oshi No Ko anime will air in April 2023. Before that, on March 17, 2023, the first episode will be shown in Japan as a 90-minute special.
It will be shown around the world in April 2023 on the streaming service Crunchyroll.
The manga, which is about two artists who meet, has been running in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020. Now that all ten volumes are out, fans are looking forward to the anime version of the same.
Oshi No Ko Anime Cast
Studio Doga Kobo will make the anime version of Oshi No Ko, and Daisuke Hiramaki will be in charge of directing. Chao Nekotomi, who is known for Love is Like a Cocktail will be the assistant director.
Jin Tanaka will write the music for the soundtrack (known for his work on Laid-Back Camp). Kanna Hirayama, who designed the characters for Rent-a-Girlfriend, will do the same for the anime version of Oshi No Ko.
As for who will voice the characters, Rei Takahashi will play the main role of Ai. Yurie Igoma will play the part of Ruby, and Aqua will be played by Takeo Otsuka.
Also, Kent Ito, Tomoyo Takayanagi, and Yumi Uchiyama will take on the roles of Goro, Sarina, and young Aqua, respectively.
Oshi No Ko Anime Spoiler
In Oshi no Ko, the daughters of famous idol Ai Hoshino, Aquamarine, and Ruby Hoshino, try to make idols in the complicated and sometimes dirty world of show business. In a past life, the twins were both doctors and patients. Now, they are the children of their favorite idol. As they follow in their mother’s footsteps, they find out about the dark and dangerous sides of the industry.
The trailer begins with the twins’ past lives. So, the first episode of the anime is probably going to show how they met in a past life.
