Following the slight delay announced by mangaka Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia chapter 380 will be released in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 12.
MangaPlus and VIZ media have now updated their respective websites to reflect the new publication date of the next chapter, which will now be on Monday, February 20, at 12 a.m. JST.
Chapter 380 of My Hero Academia was scheduled to be released on February 5 at 12 a.m. JST in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 10.
However, on February 1, it was revealed that Horikoshi will be taking a three-week break owing to health concerns. Official websites later validated the information.
My Hero Academia chapter 380 Release Date and Time
My Hero Academia chapter 380 release date is 19 Feb,2023. The following worldwide timings will apply to the release of My Hero Academia chapter 380 on the official websites of Viz Media, Shueisha, MangaPlus, and Shonen Jump+:
- Pacific Standard Time: 7 am, Sunday, February 19
- Eastern Standard Time: 10 am, Sunday, February 19
- Greenwich Mean Time: 3 pm, Sunday, February 19
- Central European Time: 4 pm, Sunday, February 19

Horikoshi’s Health
The break wasn’t just unexpected, but it also came too quickly for the print edition to change its structure.
The main illustration that was planned to accompany the chapter is the character design for Deku’s Vigilante or “Black Deku” hero outfit, which was published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 10. This was probably done to celebrate the release of season 6 episode 18, which was released one day early.
The mangaka has health difficulties, and Shueisha has verified that the break is important for him to get better.
Horikoshi had a similar unscheduled leave in December 2022. The official websites were unable to update the new release dates back then, as they were unable to do so this time around until after all the serializations of Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 10 had been released.
Conclusion
Horikoshi has said many times that he wants My Hero Academia to end this year. But he later had to change his mind and say that it would take more time to tie up all the loose ends.
Even though the series is coming to an end, there are still a lot of mysteries to be solved. Several parts of the war that is still going on have not been talked about yet.
Even with chapter 380 of My Hero Academia, the story needs at least 50 more chapters to be told well. The fights between Sero, Kirishima, and Aoyama haven’t been shown yet in a good way.
We hope that this three-week break will give the mangaka enough time to heal from his health problems. But in the coming months, it would be smart to be ready for another sudden delay or a long break.
