Ice Spice (real name Isis Gaston) is a New York rapper whose 2022 track Munch (Feeling U) earned her popularity.
The song got her a meeting with Drake at the OVO Festival, but it does not appear like the two connected. Drake unfollowed Spice on Instagram and his collaborative album with 21 Savage appeared to insult her.
Drake raps in BackOutsideBoys, “She a 10 trying to rap, it sounds awesome on mute” Ice Spice adopted an optimistic outlook, tweeting, “At least I’m a 10.” The conflict has helped Ice Spice by increasing her exposure to a larger audience.

Ice Spice stated, “My father used to be a rapper, therefore I grew up listening to how to rap.” “He motivated me to [rap]” Spice stated that her entire family supports her professional endeavors.
Because of her father’s past as a rapper, Spice has been accused of being an industry plant. An industrial plant is an artist who poses as a “homegrown startup” despite receiving support from a large or independent label.
Ice Spice denied the charges, stating that her father was only an underground rapper. “He was a rapper in the underground. “I want to make it obvious because they’re attempting to claim that I’m a plant, but I’m not,” Spice told DJ Booth.
According to the artist, her father gives her advice on how to thrive in the rap profession. She remarked, “He essentially advises me to continue being myself and to be careful because it might go dirty.”
