Blue Lock Episode 17 Review and Recap

Isagi passes the ball to Barou, who refuses to return it despite Isagi’s availability. The ball is stolen by Kunigami, who scores a goal. Nagi and Barou begin to argue, causing Isagi to believe he must take charge and lead the squad.

Isagi successfully induces a chemical interaction between himself and Nagi for the next round, allowing Nagi to score. Isagi attempts again to get Barou to collaborate, but Barou states that he would rather lose than compromise his values.

Isagi reprimands him because she believes Barou’s mindset is destroying his potential. Barou confesses, though, that he feels frustrated with himself. Despite this, he informs Isagi that he cannot control him.

In the following round, Isagi realizes that Reo’s use of his teammates’ weaponry makes him the team’s center. Kunigami scores another goal, prompting Isagi to reconsider his tactics. Isagi pretends to pass to Barou but actually gives the ball to Nagi.

Nagi sees through Isagi’s move while everyone else is preoccupied and sends the ball to him, resulting in a goal. Barou receives the ball in the subsequent round, but Kunigami and Reo mark him.

Isagi receives the ball and passes it to Nagi, who scores his team’s third goal. Chigiri develops, though, and is able to retain his pace while allowing the ball to go ahead of him. With this, he scored his team’s fourth goal.
